GENERAL TECH AND VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

WEIGHT

  1. 3000 pounds minimum car and driver after race.
  2. 2900 pounds cars running RC4 AND 4412 Two Barrel Carburetor
  3. No quick change rear ends or aluminum wheels allowed in this class.
  4. All rules are at Tech Inspectors approval and interpretation. Any items not to Tech Inspectors approval will result in weight penalty or disqualifications for competitor. Legality of car is car owner's responsibility.
  5. Weight (decal) must be on car.

FRAME

  1. Car must be a minimum 108'' stock wheelbase with a 1'' tolerance measured from center of front axle to center of rear axle.
  2. Frame must be stock from front clip to center of rear end, minimum of 2'' x 2'' tubing from center of rear end to rear bumper
  3. Camaro cars must have rear unibody sub frame present. Sub frames may be connected and X braced.
  4. No Clipped cars.

BODY

  1. Bodies may be replaced with aluminum.
  2. May replace firewall and floor pan with sheet metal.
  3. May have a hull body, stock appearing.
  4. Maximum 7'' rear spoiler, maximum width 72''.

SUSPENSION AND STEERING

  1. All suspension must be stock and in stock location unless specified.
  2. Stock spindles only. Lower control arms must be stock and mounted in original locations. No altering or adjustable lower control arms. No changing from one car to another.
  3. Tubular upper A - arms permitted. Stock lower A - arms must be factory stock for year, make and model of car used.
  4. Stock steering only. Quick steers allowed. No rack - n - pinion steering.
  5. Weight jacks allowed front and rear.
  6. Single or double adjustable shocks allowed. One shock per wheel only front and rear suspension. May run tie rod type shocks.
  7. No 5th coils or Reese bars or additional lift bars allowed. 3 link rear suspension with j-bar allowed with solid top link or rubber biscuit bar only. No spring loaded torque links. 90/10 brake shock allowed. Mounted center of rear end center of chassis.
  8. No coil overs front or rear. All coil springs must be a minimum of 5'' diameter, rear springs must be bucket mounted, no sliders or coil overs eliminators. Rear end must be mounted center of chassis.
  9. Leaf spring chassis must be stock mount to rear of chassis spring mounts, sliders allowed rear only.
  10. Hi - performance race shocks and screw jacks optional. 1 shock per wheel only front and rear suspension.

REAR END

  1. Any factory manufactured allowed. Floater allowed.

BRAKES

  1. Must have 3 wheels operational. Adjustable proportioning allowed.
  2. No aftermarket hubs or calipers. Wide 5 adaptors allowed.

DRIVE SHAFT

  1. No aluminum drive shafts.
  2. Must be painted white.

TRANSMISSION

  1. Automatic must have stock working torque converter. Standard stock type must have clutch and pressure plate.
  2. No aluminum fly wheels. 15 pounds minimum fly wheel weight.
  3. TCI, Bert, Brinn or Flacon direct drive transmissions allowed with 50 pound weight penalty

ENGINE

  1. Other engine makes allowed to use GM frame.
  2. Only stock production engines are permitted V6 or V8 only, no big blocks. Solid motor mounts allowed. Engine set back number 1 plug even with front ball joint, 1'' tolerance.
  3. GM 350, Ford 351W or Chrysler 340 or 360. Must be stock production blocks. No aluminum, 0.60 bore permitted (362 cubic inch). Must be stock stroke; no stroker or destrokers allowed. Racing oil pan permitted.
  4. Stock length rods and stock appearing only. Cast or forged flat top pistons only must have at least two eyebrows. No dome or dished pistons. Stock replacement crank. 48 pounds minimum weight. No knife edged or winged cranks.
  5. Timing chains only. No gear drives.

CAM SHAFTS

  1. Hydraulic or solid cam permitted. Maximum of 500 lift. No roller cams or lifters allowed.
  2. Lifters must remain stock diameter to make of engine. Example: .842'' for Chevy and .875'' for Ford. No mushrooms.

CYLINDER HEADS

  1. Factory steel production heads only. No bowtie or angle plug allowed. The following listed stock replacement heads are allowed: World Products #4360 or #4361 Pro Top Line Torque Heads with 1.94 and 1.5 valves.
  2. Chevy valve size is 1.94 intake max and 1.5 exhaust max. 2.02 - 1.06 on old style heads allowed. Other makes must be stock size.
  3. Three angle racing valve job allowed. No porting or polishing. No gasket matching.
  4. Guide plates and screw in studs allowed.
  5. Roller rockers allowed, 1.5 ratio only.
  6. Stud girdles allowed.

INTAKE

  1. Any cast iron or aluminum intake, maximum 1'' carb spacer.

CARBURETOR

  1. Holley 4412 500 CFM
  2. Holley 750 vacuum secondary 4 barrel
  3. Choke plate removal allowed, but must retained choke horn, no porting or polishing.
  4. Track mandated inspection tool must fit.
  5. Manual stock style fuel pump only.
  6. Fuel pressure regulator allowed.

IGNITION

  1. Stock type ignition only. No external ignitions boxes or electronics allowed.

EXHAUST

  1. Headers allowed. No Zoomies or true 180's. Collectors must not be turned down.

WHEELS

  1. 12'' wide maximum steel wheel with bead lock on rights rear only.
  2. 1/2'' wheel studs minimum with 1'' lug nuts required.

TIRES

  1. Any racing tire with 11'' maximum tread width. (Late Model take-offs)
  2. May run RC4 with 4412 Two Barrel.
